How do I export patent data from PatSnap?
There are several places for you to export patent data from PatSnap.
1. Export Search Result
2. Export My Lists
3. Bulk download.
How do I do it: Click on "Export" -> Select the fields to export -> drag and drop to rearrange the fields if you need to change the order -> Click "Submit". Wait for a couple of seconds and you will see a link for you to download the file with the exported patents.
How do I add a field to the file to be exported ?
On the export page, inside "Available data fields", click on a field -> The field will be added as a colume to the exported file.
How do I remove a field from the exported file?
On the export page, under "Data to be included in your document", Find the field you want to remove, click on the red cross -> The field will be removed.
What formats will the exported file be?
There are 4 formats available: XLS(Microsoft Excel), CSV, RTF and XML
Are there any limits on the number of record I can export?
Free account users can export up to 30 rows of patent data each time. Paid account users can export up to 30,000 rows of patent data. There is no limit on the total number of exports.
How do I access the exported data?
Once the export is finished, you can click on the link on PatSnap page to donwload the file. You will also receive an email with the download link so you can access it later. Note: The link to download the file will expire in 24 hours.
what is the difference between basic and advanced bibliographic exports?
Sometimes one patent may have multiple inventors or assignees. While basic bibliographic export will combine all the inventors or assignees of a patent into one field, advanced bibliographic export give you the option the list them as separate rows. i.e. one patent can be exported as multiple rows, where each row has a different inventor or assignee field.
