How do I create an alert?
1. On the search result page, click "Email Alert" -> the alert creation page will show up.
2. Type in Alert name, description, search query (the search query just ran is there by default), indicate your alert options such as frequency and expiry date -> Click "Save". That's all! You are all set to receive email alerts at your specified frequency.
How often will I receive updates from an alert?
We will deliver alerts at a frequency specified by you, be it weekly or monthly. When you set up the alert, you can choose to receive alert every period (if you select "All"), or only when there are new patents (if you select "Last").
How do I change the expiration date of an alert?
Click "Tools" -> Select "Alerts" -> Find the alert you want to edit, click "edit" -> Select a different expiration date.
How do I change the frequency of an alert?
Click "Tools" -> Select "Alerts" -> Find the alert you want to edit, click "edit" -> Choose a different frequency.
How do I delete an alert?
You can either completely delete an alert or set it as inactive( you can reactivate it later). To completely delete an alert, Click "Tools" -> Select "Alerts" -> Find the alert you want to delete -> click "delete" -> on the confirmation window, click "OK". To set an alert as inactive, Click "Tools" -> Select "Alerts" -> Find the alert -> click "edit" -> under "Status", select "Inactive".
Will I still receive alert after my subscription expires?
We will continue sending you alerts in the first 3 months after your account expires. After the 3-month period, no more alerts will be sent. If you do not wish to receive any alerts in future, in the email we send you please select "Please stop sending me alerts in future".
