Patsnap Expands Access to One of the World’s Largest Innovation Intelligence Datasets

Free self-serve access and MCP servers make an upgraded Eureka by Patsnap and the specialized datasets behind it more accessible to R&D and IP teams.

The update introduces free self-serve trial access to Eureka by Patsnap alongside new APIs, Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations, agent orchestration capabilities, and embeddable innovation intelligence widgets, enabling organizations to access Patsnap’s specialized data and AI infrastructure directly within their own workflows and AI environments including ClaudeChatGPT and Cursor

The launch is supported by major upgrades to Patsnap’s underlying AI and search infrastructure, including enhanced multilingual search and a rebuilt retrieval system designed to improve precision across highly technical domains.

Patsnap is positioning its proprietary innovation intelligence layer as the specialized data foundation powering higher-quality outputs for R&D and IP decision-making. It enables more robust decisions where general purpose LLMs are lacking in industry data and vertical focus.

“AI is only as valuable as the quality of the data behind it,” said Jeffrey Tiong, CEO and Founder of Patsnap. “Innovation teams aren’t asking generic questions. They need deeply technical, domain-specific intelligence they can trust when making billion-dollar R&D and IP decisions. We’ve spent nearly two decades building, enriching and structuring that data, and now we’re making it more accessible than ever, whether through Eureka by Patsnap directly or inside the AI systems our customers already use.”

The infrastructure upgrades improve search and analysis across Patsnap’s innovation intelligence platform, which is built on the most comprehensive collection of patents and technical documents, including hundreds of millions of DNA, RNA, and protein sequences, and trusted by 18,000  global organizations, including NASA, Disney, Colgate-Palmolive, Sanofi, Moderna, BioNTech, Dyson, and PayPal.

With this launch, organizations can now access Patsnap’s innovation intelligence in multiple ways:

  • Eureka by Patsnap: Innovation teams can access Patsnap’s agentic AI platform directly through the company’s website with free self-serve trial access and upgrade paths to Pro and Enterprise plans.
  • Developer Integrations and MCPs: Organizations can simply integrate Patsnap data and AI agents into their existing AI environments, including internal copilots, enterprise AI assistants, and custom workflows.
  • Embeddable Innovation Intelligence Services: Enterprises can build their own applications and AI agents on top of Patsnap’s infrastructure, embedding patent analysis, technology scouting, and R&D intelligence directly into their products and systems.

The release builds on the launch of Patsnap Eureka’s AI Agents in May 2025, which transformed the product from a research tool into an active AI collaborator capable of supporting workflows across engineering, life sciences, materials science, and IP strategy.

The AI agents are organized across four core disciplines:

  • Engineering Agents: Help teams move from problem definition to feasible technical solutions by connecting relevant patents, prior art, and scientific research.
  • Life Sciences Agents: Support asset prioritization and de-risking decisions through benchmarking against targets, SAR and ADMET data, and clinical intelligence.
  • Materials Agents: Help scientists identify formulation candidates and analyze technical precedent to reduce experimental cycles.
  • IP Agents: Translate complex patent intelligence into actionable insights for freedom-to-operate analysis, competitive landscaping, protection strategy and drafting tools.
